BONIN ISLAND is inspired by the quiet beauty of somewhere far away — the kind of place where the pace of life changes and you suddenly have space to breathe.

The artwork grew from my fascination with Japan's Bonin Islands and their sense of remoteness: clear ocean, open skies, tropical landscapes and that feeling of being completely removed from everyday life.

I wasn't interested in creating a literal representation of the islands. Instead, I wanted to capture the feeling of being there — the clarity of the water, the openness of the landscape and the calm that comes from being surrounded by nature.

Fluid forms and layered colour create a composition that feels both peaceful and alive. There is movement within it, but also space — a balance I find particularly important when creating work for interiors.

For me, art has the ability to transport us. The right piece can change the atmosphere of a room and take you somewhere else, even for a moment.

At A2 size, BONIN ISLAND has a strong presence while retaining a sense of calm. It works beautifully as a statement piece or within a collected interior alongside other artwork, textiles and objects that have their own stories.

BONIN ISLAND is produced as a limited edition of 40, with every print signed and numbered by me.

As each print is produced to order, please allow 7–10 working days for your artwork to be produced, signed, carefully prepared and dispatched.

Your print is rolled in acid-free tissue paper and sent in a protective cardboard tube to help ensure it reaches you safely.

On arrival, gently unroll and lay flat for approximately 24 hours before framing.
