WILD BIRDS — Large Floor Cushion

WILD BIRDS is about freedom, movement and the feeling of being completely open to where life might take you.

The artwork captures birds in flight above a deep blue ocean, their movement flowing across the surface in a composition filled with azure blue, turquoise, sunshine yellow and coral red.

I was drawn to that moment when birds lift away from the ground and simply fly. There is something incredibly liberating about it — the feeling of space, movement and possibility. I wanted to bring some of that feeling into the artwork.

The flowing forms and vivid colours create a sense of energy and light, while the deep blue gives the composition a feeling of depth and calm.

At 90 × 90 cm, WILD BIRDS has a generous presence without feeling formal. It invites you to sit, relax, read or simply spend time in the space around it.

I love the idea of transforming artwork into something that becomes part of everyday life. Rather than simply hanging on a wall, this piece can be lived with, touched and enjoyed.

Made in Britain from premium linen, the cushion is printed on both sides and finished with piped edges and a concealed zip.
