MIRISSA — Colour Accent Cushion

Mirissa is inspired by the warmth, colour and sense of escape of Sri Lanka's southern coast.

I wanted to capture the feeling of being somewhere surrounded by turquoise water, warm sand and lush palms — where the light is intense, the colours feel alive and the pace of life seems to slow down.

The artwork brings together flowing blues, vibrant greens and touches of citrus, creating a composition full of movement and energy while retaining a sense of balance. Rather than depicting the landscape literally, I wanted to capture the atmosphere of it — the colour of the ocean, tropical light and the feeling of being somewhere beautifully removed from everyday life.

At 50 × 50 cm, MIRISSA is an easy way to bring that feeling into your own space. Place it on a sofa, bed or favourite chair, or layer it with other SO KLARA pieces to create an interior that feels colourful, relaxed and personal.
