YOU ARE MADE OF STARS — Original Mixed-Media Painting

YOU ARE MADE OF STARS grew from a simple thought that I find both beautiful and comforting: we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.

I’ve always been fascinated by the night sky — its vastness, mystery and sense of endless possibility. Looking upwards can shift your perspective. The things that felt enormous a moment ago can suddenly seem smaller, and there is something reassuring in remembering that we are connected to the world around us in ways we don't always see.

I wanted to capture some of that feeling through colour, texture and movement. Layers of paint and expressive marks build and expand across the surface, creating moments that feel like light, energy and distant fragments of the universe.

The painting developed intuitively, with each layer responding to what came before it. I allowed colour and gesture to lead the process, building depth and atmosphere while leaving space within the composition for the eye to wander.

For me, YOU ARE MADE OF STARS is ultimately a reminder of wonder, connection and possibility. It is about looking beyond the everyday and remembering that there is always more than we can see.

I created this piece for someone who wants to live with artwork that lifts the spirit, sparks curiosity and brings a sense of energy and optimism into a space.
