JOVIAL — Original Mixed-Media Painting

JOVIAL is a celebration of joy, colour and the simple pleasure of feeling alive.

I wanted this piece to feel uplifting — the kind of artwork that makes you smile when you walk into a room. It grew intuitively through layers of colour, brushwork and drawing, with each mark responding to what came before it.

I love the freedom of working this way. There is no rigid plan for where the painting will end up; the work evolves through the process, with moments of spontaneity, movement and unexpected colour combinations becoming part of the final composition.

The result is vibrant and energetic, but there is also a sense of balance within the layers. For me, JOVIAL is about letting go, following your instincts and making space for joy.

I created this piece for someone who wants their surroundings to feel as good as they look — for people who are drawn to bold, expressive original art and interiors with colour, personality and a little bit of optimism.
