WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER — Original Mixed-Media Painting

WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER is about connection, belonging and the strength we find in one another.

I’ve always been interested in the relationships between people — the way we influence each other, support each other and sometimes bring out qualities in one another that we might not find alone.

This painting grew from that idea. I wanted the forms, colours and marks to feel as though they were responding to one another — coming together, moving apart and finding their own rhythm within the composition.

The work developed intuitively through layers of painting and drawing. I allowed each layer to influence the next, building movement, texture and depth while letting unexpected marks become part of the final piece.

There is something reassuring about WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER. For me, it is a celebration of connection, companionship and shared energy — the simple truth that life can feel richer when it is experienced with others.

I wanted the painting to carry that feeling into a space: something uplifting and expressive, but also warm and human.
