MELAMBAI — Original Mixed-Media Painting

MELAMBAI is a painting about colour, movement and the feeling of being swept up in a moment.

I wanted this piece to feel alive — as though the colours and marks are moving across the surface, creating their own rhythm. There is something instinctive about the way this painting came together. I followed the energy of the colours and allowed the composition to develop rather than trying to control every part of it.

Layers of paint and drawing build gradually across the paper, with expressive marks sitting alongside quieter areas. I love the tension between the two — the sense of movement within a composition that still feels balanced.

For me, MELAMBAI carries a feeling of warmth, freedom and joyful movement. It reminds me of those moments when you are completely absorbed in what you are doing and everything seems to flow naturally.

I created this piece for someone who wants their surroundings to have energy and personality — someone who loves original art that can lift a room and bring a little more colour and life into everyday spaces.
