ERIDANI — Colour Accent Cushion

ERIDANI is inspired by planetary movement, distant worlds and the energy of things we cannot quite see.

The artwork brings together deep red, purple and grey, with abstract forms that suggest movement, atmosphere and the shifting relationship between light and shadow.

I was drawn to the idea of distant planets moving through space — something powerful happening far beyond us, largely unseen. There is a sense of mystery and energy in that thought that found its way into the artwork.

The deeper tones give ERIDANI a grounding quality, while the flashes of colour create movement and tension. It is expressive without needing to shout.

At 50 × 50 cm, it brings depth and personality to a sofa, bed, reading corner or favourite chair. It can hold its own as a strong accent or become part of a more layered collection of colour and pattern.
